2024 OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT/ACCESS. Check-in is between 3-9 p.m. Guests are required to provide a valid government issued ID and credit card at time of check-in and the name on the reservation must match both of these. Guests must sign the hotel registration card at time of check-in, agreeing to all policies set forth therein. Guests are required to return all room keys at their 11AM check-out. Lost or stolen room keys will result in a $50 lock replacement charge. Glen Falls House reserves the right to apply discretionary fees attached to any late checkout. Occupancy of the room after 1PM will result in a full night's charge.
SINGLE NIGHT STAYS. Single night stays on weekends are permitted with the addition of a mandatory $50 room re-rack fee. Weekends are defined as Friday and Saturday nights, as well as 3-day holiday Sunday nights.
RESORT FEE. A resort fee of $30 per room per night will be added to all room reservations.
IN-ROOM AMENITIES. If you try something you like and want to take it home, our in-room amenities are all for sale. Inquire about purchasing in the lobby, or simply take it home and we will apply the charge to your room folio.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS. Any changes or cancellations are subject to a $50 change/cancel fee. Reservations canceled or modified 5 days prior to arrival are subject to forfeit of deposit. Reservations canceled within 4 days prior to arrival are subject to a fee of the full stay. Refunds shall be remitted to you in the form of the original payment within 7 days of your cancellation. Any changes or cancellations of group reservations (12 person minimum) are subject to a $50 per person change/cancellation fee. Group reservations canceled or modified 14-30 days prior to arrival are subject to forfeit of deposit. Group reservations canceled within 14 days prior to arrival are subject to a fee of the full stay. All cancellation requests must be sent to reservations@glenfallshouse.com.
CREDIT CARD DEPOSIT DUE AT TIME OF RESERVATION. All nightly room reservations must be guaranteed with a 50% credit card deposit excluding tax at the time of booking. Non-guaranteed reservations are not accepted. Full name, valid billing address, valid email address, and phone number are required to make a reservation. Rates and packages are subject to change at any time, based on availability and demand.
REMAINING BALANCE. All reservation balances will be charged upon check-in to the property. All incidental charges will be charged upon check-out.
CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES. Guests are responsible for 3.5% credit card processing fees for all credit card transactions associated with reservations and on property.
REMAINING BALANCE DUE AT TIME OF CHECK-IN. All nightly room reservations must be paid in full (including tax) at time of check-in. Cash or credit cards are accepted. No checks.
NON-SMOKING ROOMS & SPACES. All rooms, interior public spaces and marked exterior spaces at Glen Falls House are smoke-free. Smoking in rooms and/or non-smoking areas will result in a $100 cleaning and smoke damage charge.
QUIET HOURS. First floor guest porches are for room occupants to enjoy. Please consider your neighbor and respect quiet hours from 10PM-8AM.
PET RULES. Pets are welcome to stay in the Cottage, rooms for a $40 per night per pet cleaning fee. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in an additional $60 cleaning charge. While outside of your unit, all dogs must be leashed and you are exclusively responsible for the proper removal of all excrement. In accordance with state law, no dog may be left unattended in your unit for extended periods of time or in a vehicle when outside temperatures exceed 80 degrees or fall below 40 degrees.
SUPERVISION REQUIREMENTS. No children under the age of 12 or pets may be left unsupervised.
LOST, MISSING, STOLEN OR DAMAGED ITEMS. Any items brought to Glen Falls House (camera, cell phone, other personal electronics, jewelry, etc.) are the responsibility of the guest, and Glen Falls House is in no way responsible for lost, missing, stolen or damaged items, regardless of the cause.
HONOR BAR. Guests are responsible for items they sign out from the Provisions Honor Bar. If you are filmed removing an item, or an item is signed out on the purchase sheet by a member of your party, you will be charged upon check-out.
HYGIENE. All Occupants are expected to exercise their best efforts to ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness in Glen Falls House and in their individual units. Occupants should do their best to assure that these areas are not left excessively unkempt.
CHILDREN. Children are welcome at Glen Falls House, provided Glen Falls House is advised of their intended occupancy at the time of reservation and they are properly supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. Glen Fall House reserves the right to charge guest credit cards for any damages to the general property, your unit, the contents of your unit or the grounds caused by you, your guests and/or your dog(s). Guests will be held responsible for paying any additional amount to cover repair or replacement as determined by Glen Falls House.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Pursuant to state law, no drinking of alcoholic beverages by persons under the age of 21 is permitted anywhere on property owned, or operated, by Glen Falls House, including inside your unit. Glen Falls House assumes no responsibility for any injury resulting from alcohol use.
ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES. The use, possession, sale, distribution or storage of any substance not lawfully possessed (such as by prescription, etc.) by a guest or minor, if applicable, is not permitted on any property owned or operated by Glen Falls House, including but not limited to the general property and your unit.
TERMINATION. Glen Falls House reserves the right to terminate this agreement; retain the reservation nightly fee Fee and/or immediately remove the guest and/or those individuals affiliated with the reservation named guest (if applicable), should the guest and/or those individuals affiliated with the Occupant (if applicable): refuse or prove unable to abide by any applicable Glen Falls House rules or procedures; engage in unruly behavior that has resulted in, or could reasonably be expected to injure a person, facilities and/or the contents owned or occupied by Glen Falls House or any form of drunken, inebriated, loud, unruly or, otherwise, irrational behavior; disturb or offend other guests or those in their company, Glen Falls House staff or volunteers, or, individuals otherwise authorized to access facilities operated by Glen Falls House; and/or comply with any reasonable request(s) made by an authorized representative of Glen Falls House relative to the occupancy.
RELEASE. In consideration of access and use of Glen Falls House, your unit and Glen Falls House facilities and grounds, the guest and/or those guests affiliated with the reservation named guest (if applicable), the Occupant waives, releases, and agrees not to sue, and agrees to indemnify and hold Glen Falls House harmless from any claims, actions, suits costs, expenses, damages or liabilities, including attorney’s fees for personal injury, property damage, accidents, illnesses, or death to themselves and/or any of their guests sustained as a consequence of the guest’s own negligence and/or the negligence of his/her guests. This is a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent permitted by statute in the State of New York.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF AGREEMENT. The acceptance of your reservation fee by Glen Falls House shall serve as proof of your payment and deposit (if any) and an acknowledgment of your agreement to honor and abide by the terms of this Occupancy Agreement, and the attached “Liability Acknowledgment” and to properly advise any affiliated guests of, and assume responsibility for, the actions/omissions of any such affiliated guests.
Liability Acknowledgment
I, hereby, acknowledge and agree that as a permitted visitor at facilities owned, and operated, by Glen Falls House, on behalf of myself, and any guest, minor child, or any other visitor with whom I am affiliated, as a condition of my visitation, I am aware of, and will honor and abide by, all commitments and stipulations set forth herein:
1. Standards of Conduct. I recognize that at all times while being a permitted visitor at Glen Falls House, I have an obligation to conduct myself in a manner in compliance with all applicable statutes, rules, regulations, as well as ethical and moral standards; understand that Glen Falls House is in no way responsible to exercising supervisory control over my conduct; promise to act reasonably and responsibly; will ensure that I become informed of all expected standards; and, agree to follow all guidelines, and/or procedures, concerning these standards, including, but not limited to, those concerning safety and security that may be issued by Glen Falls House.
2. General Release. In contemplation of the foregoing, I hereby, agree on behalf of my family, heirs, and personal representative(s) to the maximum extent permitted by law, to release and hold harmless Glen Falls House, and any of its subsidiary corporations, associations, partners, sponsors, funders and/or donors, as well as their respective officers, directors, employees, independent contractors, agents, assigns, clients, consumers and/or other volunteers from any claims, demands, suits, or causes of action against them, which I or my family heirs or personal representative(s), have or may have in the future, concerning any accidents, injuries, or damages to me, or my property, arising from my experience as a permitted visitor at facilities owned, and operated, by Glen Falls House.
